This form can be used to request public records from the Borough.
A request for records under the Law shall be made in writing and signed by the requester. The Borough will not accept verbal, telephone, anonymous, or unsigned requests. The Borough’s Right-to-Know Law Request Form is available using the link below.
Written requests for records may be submitted to the Borough by mail, fax, e-mail or by delivery in person to the Borough's building address during the regular business hours as posted.
The request should identify or describe the records sought with sufficient specificity to enable the Open Records Officer to ascertain which records are being requested. If the request does not contain sufficient information to identify the record sought, the Open Records Officer shall notify the requestor of the deficiencies in the request. The request shall not be considered received by the Department for purposes of the time periods established by the Law until the requestor provides the information necessary to identify the records sought.
The term "sufficient specificity" is defined (for this purpose) as having information that can easily identify the information sought without ambiguity or general terms that would make it difficult for one to identify, gather, verify and produce such information without placing an unreasonable burden on the individual gathering such information. For example, a request for "all information pertaining to..." will be deemed too broad. Any request which fails to meet this requirement shall not be considered received until the request is amended to include the specific information sought. The Open Records Officer shall notify the requestor of the deficiencies in the request of any request made in such manner.
